Welcome to the About Dream Out Loud page. Since you actually took the time to click the "About" link, I guess I should tell you a little bit about this Web site and how it came about.

The domain dreamoutloud.com was registered on July 28, 1995.  This was the first domain name that I registered, and back then, I had to register the domain via email.

Dreamoutloud.com was registered for my business Web site, which had already been in existence for a little over a year. Like many other individuals and organizations, I had my Web site account located at a local ISP(Internet Service Provider) and it was accessible at the URL http://www.netrunner.net/~dreamoutloud. Registering dreamoutloud.com was a strategic business, and marketing decision at the time.

Since dreamoutloud.com has been on the Internet, it has been used for a variety of applications, and has gone through many transformations. Below is a rough timeline of how the Web site was used.

• April 1994 – July 1995 = Dreamoutloud.com was not registred as of this time period, but the Web site did.
• July 1995 – April 1999 = Used as the home for my Interactive design company.
• May 1999 – June 2010 = During this time period, the Web site was converted from business to personal use.  I used it for eBay auctions, technical experiments, video library and more.
• July 2010 – September 2011 = The Web site was reduced to a landing page while being redeveloped.
• September 2011 to the present = A place where I can post about the things I find interesting.

The current Dream Out Loud Web site is a built with WordPress, using a custom theme. It is a place for me, John Kiminas, to publish information I find interesting, useful and entertaining.
