Jeff Nielson: In my writing a couple of themes occur with regularity: how “fractional-reserve banking” (with purely fiat currencies) is nothing less than serial stealing from the general population; and how gold and silver can protect people from this cycle of theft.

Gold remains our best means of economic measurement. It is not a perfect or 100% consistent measure of wealth, but it is our best. Due to its monetary properties, gold can be used to measure wealth across generations.

In Late September, 2010 the first of several reports of suspicious Engelhard 100oz silver bars emerged. They were underweight, and it at first appeared that they were real Engelhard bars that were shaved. However, upon receiving a sample, it turned out not to be made of silver, and is most likely lead.

Short-term investments are very bullish, erratic, unpredictable and undependable. But, long term investments are, relatively, considered safe and reliable. Precious metals like gold and silver are considered to be true money, and governments have been bastardizing precious metals since the night of time.
